Cycling assessment

Optimising your cycling performance from every possible angle is the goal of this assessment. The testing allows us to do the following:

1 - Determine your training zones to allow you or your coach to accurately prescribe training intensity.

2 - Monitor performance levels and therefore track improvement over time and evaluate the effectiveness of a training strategy.

It also allows an experienced votwo sports scientist and coach to analyse your cycling mechanics and identify areas for improvement.

Determination of training zones is accomplished by a stepped power output test measuring lactate threshold.

Monitoring of performance is achieved by comparing results from one test to the next. As with many of our programmes we generally recommend 3 biking tests during a year - one after the end of season break, one 3 months later to assess the impact of initial base training and a final pre season assessment to ensure all is progressing as planned into racing.
